The Running Center’s mission is to increase participation of active lifestyles in the Tampa Bay Area by demonstrating knowledge of our products and their application. The Running Center promotes a healthy and active lifestyle through a continuous commitment to community involvement, steady growth and achieving sales goals.

The Staff
Bill Davison, Owner
Bill Davison started the Running Center in 1999 with 20 years of experience in sales in the sporting goods industry. Bill has been an award-winning sales representative for such companies as New Balance, Champion, Wilson, and Frank Shorter. Bill has participated in local races for over 20 years and has run many local events. Bill’s experience includes helping other top technical running stores in the state develop their business. In 2007 Bill completed pedorthic school and has become a Certified Pedorthist. Bill is dedicated to building a running store where anybody interested in the activity of running or walking not only gets the best shoe for his/her foot but also gets the best information on all aspects of the sport, from clothing to accessories.
Our Experienced Running Center Employees
Bill S
Bill has worked at The Running Center for 9 years. He has participated in every distance from a 5K to running the Boston Marathon. In addition Bill is a high school track and cross country coach and race director.
Leandra
Leandra has worked at The Running Center for 4 years. She ran Track and Cross Country for Land O Lakes High School and the University of South Florida. She is currently attending USF
Oscar
Oscar has worked at The Running Center for two years. Oscar ran track and cross country for Leto High School and is attending USF. You will see Oscar winning many of the local races
Charles
Charles ran track and cross country at Chamberlain High School. Charles is currently on a ROTC and running scholarship at the University of Tampa.
Mika
Mika ran track and cross country at Chamberlain High School where she is currently a Senior.
Community Involvement
The Running Center has collected over 1000 pairs of reusable running shoes for the homeless. The Running Center also has helped many charities by providing race numbers, gift certificates and professional race administration advice. We continue to be a location for race registration and race information for the entire Tampa Bay area.Anyone having a usable pair of shoes or race tee shirts, please drop them off at our store and we will get it to a homeless facility.
